ISA Presents Industrial Wireless Communications Conference in Houston

The Intrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA) announced it's fourth Technical Conference Series event for October 25-26. The "Wireless Communications for the Industrial Environment" (www.isa.org/tcwireless.html) conference will bring industrial wireless communications professionals to Houston, Texas for an informative, two-day conference and training event.

On 25 October, the ISA Training Institute will present "Overview of Fieldbus and Wireless Technology". This one-day course discusses and compares today's dominant fieldbus technologies and overviews the current and emerging wireless technologies which can be used in industrial automation applications.

The conference portion, held on 26 October, features industry experts presenting on a variety of topics, including:

  • Applications: Digital/Analog Conversion/RTU
  • Spread Spectrum Direct Sequence in the Field and in the Factory
  • Unlicensed Wireless Communications in a Changing Regulatory Environment
  • Bluetooth: The Next Generation in Wireless Standards
