(Oracle) Oracle joins leading telecommunications and software industry leaders — such as AT&T;, Cisco Systems and Ericsson — as the newest voice in the VoiceXML Forum (www.vxmlforum.org), a forum chartered with establishing and promoting the Voice eXtensible Markup Language. In joining, Oracle is extending its commitment to XML-based mobile and wireless technologies. Oracle Portal-to-Go already uses the flexibility of XML to extract and personalize content from any source and to deliver it to any mobile or wireless device such as a cell phone or PDA. OracleMobile, the Oracle subsidiary focused on the wireless Internet industry, is also employing VoiceXML technology to voice-enable all of its consumer wireless Internet services.
