BigMachines Releases BigMachines 5

BigMachines Inc. (Foster City, Calif.; www.bigmachines.com) announced the availability of BigMachines 5, a comprehensive front-end solution automating sales and services processes for new equipment and aftermarket parts. BigMachines 5 eBusiness software helps manufacturers of highly-customized engineered products reduce sales and service costs, increase revenues and improve productivity.
Formerly known as eSales, BigMachines 5 is designed specifically for engineered products and the associated collaborative selling processes. By connecting to third-party commerce systems, BigMachines 5 provides manufacturers, channel partners and customers with streamlined application engineering, quotation, order fulfillment and aftermarket services. Consisting of 16 modules, BigMachines 5 is divided into 4 categories: Engineering, Sales/CRM, Asset Services and eBusiness Infrastructure.
Built on the J2EE framework, BigMachines 5 offers totally web based customization and administration. Its analysis and reporting functionality provides actionable business information, including usage and transaction history, forecasting and supply chain planning data and Web traffic reporting. Globalization features support multiple languages and currencies, engineering unit conversion and multi-language user interfaces. BigMachines 5 also provides predefined interfaces and custom adaptors enabling the software to integrate seamlessly with commercial and legacy back-end systems, CAD and proprietary engineering applications.
