The Utah Legislature designated university status to UVU on July 1, 2008. Its Woodbury School of Business (WSB) offers AACSB accredited undergraduate degrees in a variety of business disciplines. It is anticipated the WSB will also be offering an MBA within the next several years. UVU is located in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City, Utah, with access to quality cultural events and outstanding outdoor activities.

OPERATIONS RESEARCH

The WSB invites applications for a tenure-track position in Operations Research. This position requires a completed Ph.D. or D.B.A., preferably from an AACSB-accredited school of business, prior to the starting date. The successful candidate will be teaching a variety of courses including: operations research, logistics and supply chain management, quality and reliability systems, and enterprise management. A documented record of a passion for teaching at the undergraduate and MBA level, as well as a history of scholarship including a commitment for continuing research leading to publications in well-regarded refereed journals is expected. Industry experience is also desirable.

This faculty position will begin fall of 2009. Candidates will be considered at the assistant or associate level. Consideration for advanced appointment requires a record of published research adequate to merit such appointment. Please submit an application online at www.uvu.jobs.
