Positions in Intelligent Systems & Interaction
The area of Intelligent Systems & Interaction in the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University, invites applications for tenure-track positions at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professor).
SIS has a multi-disciplinary and diverse faculty body, and ideal candidates should have a boundary-spanning research interests across areas that have significant bonds with Intelligent Systems, including but not limited to Operations Management, Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence, Economics, Statistics, Data Management, and Engineering Management. SIS faculty members in all areas are strongly encouraged to collaborate on innovative research projects and also on integrative and interdisciplinary projects. SMU's Office of Research, the SIS's Research Centre and the Singapore government provide generous support for high quality research proposals.
The candidate should demonstrate strong research interests and competence in the following areas:
- Computational Markets and Game Theory
- Intelligent Agents for Decision Support
- Large-Scale Optimization and Meta-Heuristics
- Interactive Environments for Modeling and Gaming

Representative from SIS will attend the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on October 12-15, 2008. Candidates who plan to attend the conference should submit their materials no later than October 1, 2008. Candidates who are presenting at the INFORMS should also provide information regarding their talks.
