of Decision Science, Management, or Organizational Behavior
Defense Resources Management Institute

The Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) of the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) invites applications for tenure-track positions at the assistant or associate professor level. A Ph.D. in decision analysis, operations research, management science, operations management, organizational behavior or a related field is expected by fall 2009. The successful candidate must have demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication and a willingness to pursue research relevant to the Department of Defense.

DRMI offers graduate-level, team-taught, interdisciplinary executive development courses to U.S. and foreign military and civilian government officials. Primary consideration will be given to applicants with demonstrated teaching ability. Interest in interdisciplinary teaching and background in public administration, public budgeting, accounting, public economics or managerial economics are desirable. DRMI courses are taught at the NPS and at locations around the world, requiring foreign travel. Proficiency in a foreign language, particularly Arabic, French, or Spanish is desirable, and U.S. citizenship is required.

To be assured of consideration, complete applications must be received by December 1, 2008. Candidates should send curriculum vitae, evidence of scholarship (such as copies of recent publications), and any teaching evaluations, as well as up to three letters of reference that address both research and teaching.
