DECISION SCIENCES Assistant/Associate Professor The Department of Decision Sciences of The George Washington University's School of Business invites applications for a tenure track faculty position beginning Fall 2009. Basic Qualifications: Requirements for the position include a doctorate in Decision Sciences or a related discipline. Applicants for the position must demonstrate the potential for outstanding scholarly research and for distinguished teaching in one or more areas such as Project Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and/or Statistics, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. ABD candidates will be considered, but must complete all degree requirements by August 1, 2009. The Department: The Department of Decision Sciences consists of eighteen full time faculty members specializing in Decision Sciences, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Statistics. The Department fields one of the leading Project Management (http://mspm.gwu.edu) programs in the world, and houses the Institute for Integrating Statistics in Decision Sciences. Department faculty teach courses at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. Courses are offered both on campus and in distance mode. It offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees and a globally focused education in business and management. The School prides itself on offering students flexibility in their programs of study. Our faculty is comprised of approximately 120 members in nine academic departments. In January 2006 the School moved into a new $56 million facility featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, team rooms, computer labs, meeting lounges, and a Capital Markets Room that allows students to access real-time quotes using proprietary software and financial information systems.
