APICS - The Performance Advantage is pleased to bring it's first edition of the Warehousing/Logistics Software Survey to the World Wide Web. Online readers can search by software vendor names, and software package names as well as by number of installed users and the average price of the software packages (information which is not available in the print edition).

Online readers in search of more information are encouraged to order a database search report. The database search reports allow customers to search for specific packages that meet certain criteria such as suitability to various manufacturing environments. Also, full reports listing responses to the entire survey (over 130 questions) may be ordered for individual packages.

The information that appears in the online version of this survey is excerpted from responses to a questionnaire assembled by software editor Steven A. Melnyk and mailed to vendors of warehousing management/logistics software packages. All product listings appear as reported by the individual vendors.

The Warehousing/Logistics Software Survey is ordered, in separate tables, by:

• software package names
• vendor names
• number of installed users
• price

This directory is not comprehensive. It reflects information received from companies who responded to the Warehousing/Logistics Software Survey request as of August 31, 1998. Other companies may be listed in a supplement to be published at some point in the future.
