Datastream Systems has released Version 4.6 of MP2, a 32-bit integrated computerized maintenance management system. New MP2 application enhancements include additional graphic file compatibility, multi-currency purchase orders and the ability to quickly update OSHA regulations from within the program. Version 4.6 also includes a flexible security system, sophisticated analysis and reporting capabilities, and a complete set of tools for managing work orders, equipment histories and inventory information. It also offers multi-tasking, purchasing, audit trail, statistical predictive maintenance, multiple wage rates, warranty tracking, an interface to the Grainger Electronic Catalog and an interface to Wonderware InTouch man-machine interface software.

Made2Manage Systems, Inc., has announced an upgrade version of its product Made2Manage for Windows, Version 1.2. This technology, which integrates sales, manufacturing and financial management functions in one ERP product, now has improved scheduling and material requirements planning (MRP). Scheduling in Made2Manage provides sophisticated functionality for managing a company's entire production press. The software scheduler supports four algorithms, including finite capacity scheduling, which can be generated simultaneously&emdash;giving production schedulers the ability to view and compare results prior to making a final decision. MRP has been added as an optional module for Made2Manage. The MRP option provides the capability for mixed-mode manufacturers to process all demands for stock items, made-to-order items and items to be purchased and resold through MRP functions.

Antalys, Inc., has released Classys Advanced Configuration Solution Version 4, an enterprisewide object-oriented software that automates the configuration and pricing of products and services. Version 4 includes an enhanced visual programming environment where users can construct basic configuration models and maintain existing models without extensive programming experience. Classys Version 4 also offers the capability to network sales representatives, customers, branch offices and manufacturing sites via the Internet. This increases the portability of the system and gives users access to product selection and pricing anytime. Classys can run on Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and OS/2 and can be used in stand alone, networked and laptop environments.

User Solutions has released Spreadsheet Scheduler V3.0. The software consists of 14 spreadsheet-based programs which provide an easy-to-use set of tools to help any organization manage projects efficiently, improve customer deliveries and minimize work-in-process times. The Spreadsheet Scheduler includes Critical-Path-Methods (CPM) models for hourly, daily, or weekly time units. By determining early and late start for each task, as well as task duration and precedence relations, the template generates a Gantt Chart showing which tasks are critical. Work flow and work-in-process models provide techniques for scheduling customer jobs through single workstations, workstations in series, or workstations in parallel.
