Stephen Cosgrove has been promoted to vice president of Hub City Terminals, Inc., replacing James Gaw, who has been named president of Hub City North Central.
Cosgrove was formerly general manager of sales and marketing for Hub City Terminals. Prior to that, he held similar positions with APL Stackrain Services and Chicago for nine years.

Intermec Corporation recently announced the appointment of John J. Roberts, as managing director of the company's operations in Asia Pacific. Roberts will report to Michael O'Leary, Intermec vice president of International Sales.
Since joining Intermec in 1989, Roberts has been responsible for the Asia Pacific and Latin America markets. He has more than 20 years experience in international and U.S. sales, marketing and operations. Prior to joining Intermec, he held several director level positions with Mannesmann Tally from 1981-89.

Numetrix, a developer of intelligent supply chain management software solutions, recently reported record results for the fourth quarter year end.
For the fourth quarter, ended Feb. 28, revenues increased 73 percent to $11.4 million, led by a 130 percent increase in software license fees over the comparable 1996 quarter. For the year ended Feb. 28, total revenues increased 55 percent to $34 million, while software license fees increased 109 percent over the comparable 1996 period.

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., a subsidiary of Daimler-Benz, has signed a three-year integrated supply contract with W. W. Grainger, Inc., an industrial supply distributor.
Under the agreement, Grainger Integrated Supply Operations (GISO) will assume responsibility for the administration of ongoing central storeroom operations, including receiving, distribution, product replenishment, and inventory management for the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vance, Ala.

i2 Technologies and Think Systems Corporation recently announced they have entered into a merger agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, i2 will issue 3.859 shares of its common stock for all the outstanding shares and stock options of Think Systems. Based on the closing price of i2 Technologies common stock on May 15, the transaction is valued at approximately $146.6 million.

Think Systems Corporation, a developer of demand chain solutions, recently announced the opening of its new Singapore office and the appointment of Raymond Teh as vice president, Asia Pacific.

Aspen Technology recently announced that it has reached an agreement with Lyondell Petrochemical Company for a strategic alliance that provides for Lyondell to license AspenTech's software and work jointly with AspenTech in development and implementation efforts.
Lyondell is a producer of low-cost and commodity petrochemical and polymers. The initial installation will be at Lyondell's Matagorda County, Texas, polymers facility, with the option to roll out the solution at other Lyondell facilities in Texas.
