With the 20th century quickly coming to a close, most mid-sized
companies will not be adequately prepared to handle the computer
headaches that will inevitably occur with the approaching millennium.
To address the Year 2000 issue, Chicago-based Whittman-Hart has
developed Compliance 2000, a suite of services -- ranging from
assessment and estimation to conversion, testing and implementation
-- designed to help mid-range computer systems run properly when
January 1, 2000, rolls around.
Compliance 2000 is a five-phase process that includes:
Assessing the scope and impact of the problem.
Developing an implementation strategy and plan once an
assessment has been made.
Executing a solution either by replacing or upgrading
applications or fixing existing ones.
Creating a test strategy to determine if compliance has been
reached.
Establishing a contingency plan to recover from any potential
system failures after January 1, 2000.
The suite of services is intended to be modular in nature so that
customers can elect to take all services or only the ones needed.
