Engineers Create "Virtual" Chernobyl for Disassembly Planning and Clean-Up
Power plant engineers are using virtual manufacturing software to plan the process of cleaning up the contaminated Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the former Soviet Union.

VR is Out of This World
As part of the Mars Pathfinder mission, NASA is using simulation application software to create an interactive, photorealistic environment on Mars. The Sojourner microrover sends back stereoscopic images to Earth, where a virtual reality application allows NASA scientists to interactively explore the Martian terrain in real time.
