Telecommunications provider Southwestern Bell has developed
one of the largest virtual reality environments ever created. The VR
center is designed to give technicians practical training in tracking

NASA Working on a Million-Times-Faster
Internet
NASA's Ames Research Center has embarked on the Next
Generation Initiative to increase the speed and capacity of the
Internet. Current plans project that by the year 2002, information
will flow a million times faster than today's standard modems.
