VisNetwork VisNetwork software allows for rapid access of distributed data, enabling entire enterprises to more effectively share data and shorten time to market. It is designed to help companies intelligently manage distributed product data from a variety of platforms and CAD and PDM systems so that even complex products with up to a million parts can be viewed and analyzed in an interactive visual environment. With VisNetwork, users can access visual data that is distributed across their organization and treat it as one uniform database. This means that engineers who have designed assemblies in different locations anywhere in the world can immediately access any part or an entire product regardless of where the data resides.
dV/WebFly dV/WebFly opens a window into a virtual product design environment as it provides users with the ability to review small engineering assemblies, training programs and interactive documents. It allows users to fly-through and review virtual products that have been created using dVISE modules, such as dV/MockUp and dV/Reality.
68HC Microcontrollers New fuzzy logic development tools for the 8-bit 68HC11 and 16-bit 68HC12 microcontroller families can simplify programming, reduce code size and allow code to execute faster. These fuzzyTECH software tools help ease the development of Motorola microcontroller-based systems that utilize fuzzy logic. The 68HC12 is a general purpose microcontroller family with dedicated fuzzy logic instructions. In hard disk drives, the fuzzy logic instructions speed track-to-track seek times. In automotive applications, the instructions will be used to make conventional anti-lock braking systems adaptive to the road surface, and to design ignition systems that deliver higher fuel efficiency. In telecommunications applications, the instructions will enable the implementation of intelligent systems for routing, cell switching and voice compression. On the 68HC11, fuzzyTECH emulates the entire fuzzy logic algorithm in software, while the code generated for the 68HC12 utilizes its special fuzzy logic instructions.
NetOwl The NetOwl Extractor Pro intelligence discover tool allows software developers to customize the NetOwl extraction engine for specific applications or text sources. Incorporating advanced linguistic technology that was originally aimed at the federal government intelligence community, NetOwl extracts, analyzes, indexes, and summarizes information from a variety of unstructured text sources. Applications of NetOwl range from editorial production (where companies improve the productivity of their human editors by using NetOwl to perform the more tedious and methodical indexing functions) to on-line content distribution (where NetOwl helps to link together related content from many sources). NetOwl Extractor Pro provides developers complete control of NetOwl's core name recognition rule base and includes the ability to improve the performance of NetOwl through pattern customization. Developers can adjust the rule base in response to a particular application or text source, develop custom rules to include in the core rule base, and evaluate NetOwl's performance against the custom patterns. NetOwl Extractor Pro runs on Windows NT, Windows 95 and Sun Solaris platforms.
