Synchronized Manufacturing software is now available on Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX operating system and the Oracle Universal Server platform, which includes the Oracle7 relational database. It combines a manufacturing execution system (MES) with finite capacity scheduling, providing real-time feedback from the shop floor. The software takes production plans from SynQuest's Optimized Planning, or an MRPII or ERP system, and translates the plans into the details necessary for execution.

Rhythm Supply Chain Planner 3.05 offers increased planning functionality, from available-to-promise (ATP) allocation to multi-site master planning and constraint management across both single and multi-enterprise supply chains. The enhanced ATP allocation allows organizations to quote and promise order delivery to customers in real-time while obeying customer constraints on lot sizes, number of shipments, and time between shipments. This functionality, coupled with the increased multi-site master planning capabilities, provides the ability to aggregate forecasts, plan ending inventory, and reserve capacity and material. Demands may be prioritized based on the available supply and allocated to sales channels and key customers with ranking rules.
