SME Certifies Project Managers

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers has begun offering a Certified Enterprise Integrator (CEI) program, geared toward experienced project managers and team leaders, as well as "fast track" managerial candidates with solid computer automation experience. Candidates must demonstrate a proficiency in leading the implementation of complex business changes using information technology to enhance products, processes and services.

Specifically, the CEI program covers customer focus; people and teamwork in the organization; shared knowledge and systems; processes, resources and responsibilities; and manufacturing environment infrastructure. Candidates must have a minimum of eight years combined education and manufacturing-enterprise related experience.
