The Enterprise ResponseAgent (ERA) is a supply chain optimization
system that enables manufacturers to respond dynamically to global
changes in customer demand by optimizing assets throughout the
enterprise. ERA seamlessly integrates information from multiple
plants and warehouses with existing MRP/DRP/ERP systems, then
intelligently plans and schedules supply chain assets to best satisfy
demand at minimum cost. ERA simultaneously optimizes procurement,
production and distribution before presenting the best finished
product sourcing plan to meet customer requirements. Pricing begins
at $200,000.

OrderLinx is a real-time, threaded order fulfillment system that
puts explicit control of policy and execution decisions in the hands
of manufacturing executives and operations personnel. The system is a
dynamic integration of scheduling and planning functions built on a
business model that focuses on coordinating the organization around
the customer order requirement. OrderLinx allows a seamless
integration of planning and scheduling plus the speed to allow
real-time views of the factory floor status and reaction
requirements. Constraints and material requirements are dynamically
adjusted as order mix changes. The current status and best plan are
always available. Pricing begins at $200,000.

MTMS (Manufacturing Total Management System) is an integrated
resource management and control system providing full MRPII
capabilities for manufacturers. The system is designed both for large
organizations requiring a network system and small businesses
requiring a more traditional, centralized system. MTMS consists of 16
modular, fully integrated application areas traditional to
manufacturing systems, and also includes bar coding, quality control,
plant maintenance, and finite scheduling.

Imprimis 1.5 is an object-oriented, client/server-based enterprise
resource planning/manufacturing execution system (ERP/MES) that
supports multi-country, multi-facility, multi-currency and
multi-language environments. The latest version includes virtual work
centers to dynamically schedule the most optimal work center, helping
a manufacturer achieve JIT. Complete tool management capabilities
enable the creation, recalibration, usage and disposal of tools used
in manufacturing. Product and process manufacturing details, captured
in the customer part file, assist companies in qualifying for ISO
9000 certification.

MANTA 4.0 is a visual product data management (VPDM) system that
supports design and engineering activities throughout the entire
product life cycle through visual presentation of product-related
data. It enables users to track, control and manage the various tasks
and data involved in product design, including creation, file
management, release/change control and Bill of Materials
administration. Users can implement MANTA tools, a new concept of
applying methods on engineering objects, as well as encapsulation
tools and application programming interfaces (APIs), which allow for
integration with any external application.

Resonance Business Impact Analysis (BIA) module allows
manufacturing managers to estimate the economic potential of their
plants, prioritize products and orders according to their dollar
contributions, and calculate schedule effectiveness based on
shipment, throughput, inventory and operating expense variables. The
BIA module runs under Resonance, a constraint-based finite scheduling
software package (see Intelligent Manufacturing,
November 1995).

Time Machine Dynamic Worksheet is a management tool that simulates
processes in manufacturing organizations. It can model, simulate and
animate a process, and then analyze the results and dynamically show
the effect of decisions. Through the application of intelligent
software, Time Machine can improve the understanding and performance
of processes. The system can be used for dynamic flowcharting,
process modeling, what-if analysis, communication of ideas and
concept validation. A model consists of levels and resources through
which items flow according to parameters such as process time,
capacity and destination. Output includes waiting time, throughput,
bottleneck identification, and utilization. Price: $1,495.

Alliance/MFG for Windows is a manufacturing management program
designed for small to mid-size manufacturers. It includes bill of
materials, material requirements planning, inventory control,
capacity requirements planning, shop floor control, sales orders,
purchase orders and forecasting in a multi-user package. The
forecasting feature includes an intelligent component that lets the
user anticipate future orders in a number of different ways, while
planning for expected future orders and contingencies. The capacity
planning function tells the user if the work in the production
schedule generated by an MRP calculation can actually be accomplished
-- and if not, where to make adjustments. The shop floor control
function gives the user constant feedback on the work-in-process and
lets the user make adjustments to the plan. Alliance/MFG links to
Autodesk's AutoCAD and to 15 accounting programs. Price: $8,795.
