Industry.Net Debuts on the Web
Industry.Net (Pittsburgh, Pa.), an electronic communications service
provider, has introduced its Online Marketplace on the Internet's
World Wide Web (WWW). Industry.Net provides product information as
well as access to professional societies, online peer interaction,
and e-mail.
The Online Marketplace database currently contains more than 250,000
files, including product descriptions and photos, downloadable
software and demos, catalogs and brochures. Each Online Business
Center features news and information specific to one company, which
is directly accessible via e-mail.
Online Buying Guides include over 180,000 companies (both national
and regional) electronically classified by the types of products and
services they provide, and cross-referenced by the manufacturers of
the products they represent. Over 5,000 types of products and
services are listed.
Users connecting to Industry.Net via the WWW can access the Online
Marketplace at the Uniform Resource Center (URL) address
http://www.industry.net.
