OM-SecureLink, an Internet commerce enabling technology developed by
Open Market, Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.), will be integrated into the
products of the following software vendors: Informix, InContext,
SoftQuad, and Sysdeco. OM-SecureLink allows a business to turn
existing web content into an online store by linking to a Commerce
Service Provider running OMTransact.
In addition, Novell has announced that it will integrate
OM-SecureLink with its Web server product line to allow users to
connect to OM-Transact through a Commerce Service Provider. Commerce
Service Providers currently include: BBN Planet, BT, iStar Internet,
Inc., MCI Digital Imaging, Toronto Dominion Bank, First Union
National Bank, and UUNET PIPEX.
OM-SecureLink points to Open Market's OM-Transact software, which
manages Internet commerce transactions within a Commerce Service
Provider's operations, offering business customers new services,
including: complete order management, online customer service,
security, authentication, record-keeping, flexible purchasing and
payment models, and secure transaction processing including sales tax
and shipping charges.
