BEA Jolt in Nov. 1996. This Java interface translates between BEA's
Tuxedo transaction processing middleware and Java applets, permitting
Java-enabled browsers or programs to access the middleware.
Current electronic commerce offerings limit users to selecting
products from a catalog and then placing orders which are then
processed offline. BEA Jolt, however, will maintain a continuous
transaction state, enabling electronic commerce to occur in real
time.
