TRW and SoftCare Join To Form OpenEC Partnership

With the burgeoning growth of and demand for reliable electronic commerce, the development of world-class, standards-based communications technology products are reaching a fever pitch.

To help satiate this demand, TRW (Cleveland, Ohio.) and SoftCare (Burnaby, Canada) have joined forces to deliver OpenEC -- a suite of electronic commerce products that provides a total business solution to meet the information system needs of any size organization.
The product set includes:

OpenEC Desktop -- an integrated EDI and messaging windows client that provides EDI translation, communications, auditing and reporting for both LAN-based and remote users in either an OSI or a TCP/IP environment.
OpenEC Server -- a complete EDI management system and messaging infrastructure that provides EDI translation, mapping, auditing, and trading partner management, complete with mailboxing and message routing for unattended operations.
OpenEC Clearing Center -- an electronic commerce management center that provides private and public message switching, security and billing for an enterprise-wide electronic commerce service backbone.
