CONNECT (Mountain View, Calif.; http://www.connectinc.com) has signed an agreement with systems integrator Strategic Technologies (Cary, N.C.; http://www.stratech.com) to sell, market and integrate CONNECT's OrderStream software application. OrderStream is an Internet-based interactive commerce application, built on the OneServer platform, for business-to-business transactions. OrderStream streamlines and automates the sales channel for business-to-business resellers, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers.
OneServer is based on open standards, including UNIX, Oracle 7 and the Internet. The OneServer application supports a full set of APIs for users of Web browsers and custom client (C++, Visual BASIC and Java) applications. OneServer incorporates a Fulcrum text search engine and a five-layer security model using RSA protocols as well as VeriSign SSL verification.
